I was last on more than a year ago over a stupid bailiff who tried to take a company car after refusing to accept a credit card, cheque, or follow me down to an office to sort him out with cash without getting his 300 quid or so cut. He turned up on a Saturday evening wanting just over 1,000. He snatched the car keys but I got a spare set out of the kitchen and drove off. He then wrote a whatever for a scooter on the drive which he knew didn't belong to me. The matter escalated with me not giving in, writing to the courts, etc. It took the company six months to get the car keys back. The council sided with the bailiff despite him having invalid whatevers. A letter from the police brought the return of the car keys. Teignbridge District Council had paid the bailiff his fee - despite the hullabaloo. They wanted it back. They still haven't got it. The company provided documentation for the car - registration docs which don't prove ownership in any case. Now they want the same for the scooter on my drive which I can't seem to get hold of. The latest is they've tried to get a liability order now for THIS YEAR'S TAX. Add to all of this, I am still looking for a lawyer to take the stupid bailiffs - and the council on. I am convinced that my human rights have been violated as I've been humiliated, judged guilty without any proof, and victimised by being taken to court for a liability order when this year's tax bill was only issued in April! Just thought you'd all like to know that this saga is still going on.
